Pre-party

We are gearing up for Evelyn's 2nd birthday (tomorrow, the 24th). Yesterday she transitioned to her toddler bed (and miraculously napped and slept all night without incident!) Evelyn mixed up the batter for her SUN cookie cake and will see the finished product in all its glory tomorrow morning!

30 Hours in the Boroughs

We made a somewhat spontaneous trip to Queens and Brooklyn to help Rebecca and Sayed move some furniture from one borough to the other. While we were there, we celebrated Sydney and Evelyn's birthdays and went to the Prospect Park Zoo. The girls had a blast visiting with family, getting presents, riding on the subway and going to the zoo.

It was the Fleece Festival at the Prospect Park Zoo so Sydney enjoyed seeing how sheep get sheared (while Evelyn caught a short nap in the stroller)

At least Sydney and Evelyn's aunts seem to still have enough energy to smile (which is impressive since Aunt Rachel ran a half marathon that morning)!

Here are some more birthday photos. Birthday Bonanza Begins

Sydney has had a nice start to her birthday weekend. Her official birthday is tomorrow (the 7th) but since that is the last day of classes, we started the celebration early. Here is the progress so far including round one of singing!
