30 Hours in the Boroughs

We made a somewhat spontaneous trip to Queens and Brooklyn to help Rebecca and Sayed move some furniture from one borough to the other. While we were there, we celebrated Sydney and Evelyn's birthdays and went to the Prospect Park Zoo. The girls had a blast visiting with family, getting presents, riding on the subway and going to the zoo.

Checking out the new sprinkler from Grandma and Grandpa

Birthday TRAIN cake from Grandma!

Evelyn was a huge fan of the cake!

Sydney adored her new skirt from Aunt Rachel (and insisted on wearing it to the zoo the next day!)

Feeding the goats

Prime seating for Sydney for the sea lion show

Not to be out done by her big sister...

Sydney and Evelyn taking advantage of the opportunity to "be the turtle"

Who's looking at who in the prairie dog habitat?

It was the Fleece Festival at the Prospect Park Zoo so Sydney enjoyed seeing how sheep get sheared (while Evelyn caught a short nap in the stroller)

Sydney enjoyed being a groupie for the Otter Brothers Band

Checking out the baboon!

At least Sydney and Evelyn's aunts seem to still have enough energy to smile (which is impressive since Aunt Rachel ran a half marathon that morning)!
