MLK

This year we went to Baltimore for our annual MLK, Jr. weekend reunion with Peace Corps friends. The children's museum was a big hit. Tommy showed James Henry the wonders of the telescope.

Maddy G shows off her lawn mowing skills.

Sydney liked the grocery room.

The ball pit was a big hit for big kids and little kids. This photo is not staged - Joshua actually kicked Mike in the head by accident while taking his leg out (I just happened to be taking a photo at that exact moment).

Sydney liked the ball pit but after a while she would sink down and offer up an "Up, please" to get Joshua to pull her back up to the surface.

James Henry peaking out from the balls.

Musicians in pink. And yes, Sydney's hair really is that long!

Kid Yoga. Shown here: The difference between an almost 4 year old and an almost 2 year old.

The deal was, each child would pick an animal out of a box and then everyone would do yoga stretches representing that animal. Sydney chose the cheetah.

The instructor helped her act it out...and then had fun trying to get her to part with it!

Lucy Claire mastering the water works.

The wettest award goes to Manu (no contest really).

Sydney came in a distant second.

The kids vegging out with Rosa at the Walsh residence.

Baby Frank!

The whole gang.
A trip to the park.

Sydney liked the tower.

Madeline getting ready to slide.

All six kids (it was not small feat to find a time when no one was napping!)

Around the House

Joshua discovered a great way to get Sydney to sit still for more than her usual 10 seconds. She likes being wheeled around in her lego wagon. One day, while in it, she decided she wanted her animals to join her. This was followed by several rounds of "more, please" until there was no room left. Next, he sat her on the couch and they did their best recreation of the scene from E.T. Sydney is still doing her best to enjoy the cold weather...with some help from her sleigh master/father.

Christmas 2009

Here are a bunch of pictures from Christmas on the East Coast. I've only captioned the ones that seemed as though they might require a little additional information (but I did divide them into time at the Munzes and time at my parents' house - the Fauchers).

Munzes

Islip Fire Department's traveling Santa!
Sydney learning about the antique music box.
