On a sadder note from today, we had to make the very difficult decision to euthanize our 16 year-old cat Dumpling today while she got extremely ill while staying with my parents. The signs pointed to possible cancer and she will be missed greatly as we continue on with this next exciting chapter for our family.

2nd Day in Hospital-May 25
Here are some pictures from last night(the 1st 2) and today. Evelyn has been hanging out in the same swaddle so the days blend some. She is doing well and has slept for a few chunks to let us also get sleep. Elizabeth and I both managed a shower today and had 2 visits from Sydney, all in a days work for what ended up being a busy and emotional day. (see note at the end of post for non-baby related update)
She is sporting some eye crusties, but I suppose that comes with the cute sleeping baby territory.

You'll notice in all pictures she is hands out, just like her big sister. The nurses actually told us that they needed to swaddle with hands in (after I swaddled her with hands out and told them she didn't want them in) and then after they tried they said she was having none of it.
A visit from Brenda and Kristi, a couple of the very supportive friends from Elizabeth's program.
Megan brought Sydney and got some quality Evelyn time while I went exploring the hospital with Sydney.

Sydney requested a shot as well to not be left out, and then demanded to see the instant gratification on the camera.
Sydney giving Evelyn's bear from Nana and Papa, Dora the Bear(named by Sydney) a big hug.
