The Man, The Myth, The Legend

As a follow-up to our "Joshua the Builder" post, here is the finished product and the hi-jinx that led to the finishing touches! Absolutely unbelievable!!

I told Joshua the roof reminds me a little bit of a mullet (business on the outside and party on the inside)!

Sadie admiring the finished product (or perhaps a little jealous reflecting on the size of her own house).

End of the Birthday Bonanzas

Sydney and Evelyn were very excited to see a package for them when we returned from our early summer travels. They also enjoyed watching "the show" of Joshua putting up the letters above their door.

Evelyn showing off her new cups!

Sydney's thoughts on her new shirt (which she insisted on putting on instantly)

Evelyn trying to master getting the lid back on the bowl

Sydney quizzing us on the colors on the back and animals inside of her new stencil books. Thanks so much to S&E's Great Aunt Lorraine and Uncle George for the thoughtful birthday gifts!

Catherine painted all of these letters for above Sydney and Evelyn's doors.

The finished product - we love them! Thanks, Catherine!

Lake Minnewaska

To celebrate our return to the blue house and the Hudson Valley we enjoyed a hike around Minnewaska Lake.

Fenway...finally!

I took my Mom to a Red Sox game for her birthday. Unfortunately, the Red Sox got swept by the White Sox and we saw game three of the sweep. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed some bp before the game, a nice catch by Ellsbury in the outfield, a Big Papi homerun, and some postgame refreshments at Boston Beer Works! It had been a long time since my Mom had been at Fenway and the last game I saw was when Pedro returned to Fenway as a Met. We enjoyed the return despite the lengthy Fenway hiatus.

We had a great time at two weddings in May which both happened to be in the Baltimore/Annapolis area.

More Birthday Fun!

After I finished the last post, I discovered some great photos on my other camera card of Sydney and Evelyn celebrating with Grandma and Grandpa at the breakfast brunch. Candles in an egg bagel - hooray!
