We have been exploring the Brandywine Valley. After the Delaware Children's Museum and the Brandywine River Museum we managed to hit up some other area attractions. We have done a great job goofing off before the start of the semester demands otherwise. The other good news is that there are a ridiculous number of fantastic attractions right around where we live. First we went to the Smith Playground in Philadelphia.
Then we went to Longwood Gardens.

| Admiring the Italian Garden |
 |
| Evelyn sizing up the topiary. |
 |
| Festival of Fountains |
 |
| In the Conservatory |
We also went to the Delaware Natural History Museum.
We went to the Delaware Art Museum and enjoyed the Labyrinth.
 |
| Sydney was pretty proud of herself for getting to the middle first! |
 |
| Eventually we all made it! |
We went to Winterthur and visited the Enchanted Woods (children's garden).
 |
| Not surprisingly, the girls enjoyed the Touch it! room a bit more than the "look with your eyes" house tour. |
We went to the Hagley Musem ("where the DuPont story begins").
Scientists in the making?
Our three little astronauts!
Bottle rocket!
We even managed to get to a Blue Rocks (minor league Kansas City Royals affiliate) game.

| Sydney posing with Rocky. Evelyn was (understandably) a little unnerved by the mascot. |
